The healthy homes standards became law on 1 July 2019, introducing specific and minimum standards for heating, insulation, ventilation, moisture ingress and drainage, and draught stopping in rental properties.   All new or renewed tenancies must comply by 1 July 2021.  Existing private rentals must comply by 1 July 2024.

One of our sales team will visit the home, assessing each room, identifying where heat is being lost, sources of dampness, and the status of heating and insulation.  We book around two hours to assess the home.  Back at the office we analyse the measurements collected and produce a report for your review.   

If you are rate payer in the Christchurch City Council area, you could qualify for a subsidy, making it a free assessment.
